If I had nowhere to go...

...you would find me here forever.

Well, as long as I had a couple cases of San Pellegrino and an never-ending Barnes & Noble delivery.

Another memorable eve...

After a hiccup in our actual meeting location, the caravan arrived. We unloaded the gear, located the paddleboards, lit the bbq and Dinner Club was off!
First paddling...

Then marathon cooking...

Followed by a whole lot of happy eating!

I wish there were more pics of the activites and the culinary yummies but the hands were just too busy to hold the camera. Rest assured, it was another yet another memorable summer evening with a fantastic group of folks.

Thanks again to Mike & Nate at
Tahoe Paddleboards for hooking us up with boards. Now we officially know the difference between China Cove & Warm Cove.

Where will this Wednesday take me?

Dinner Club is going down a little differently this month! We're hitting the shores of Donner Lake for paddleboarding followed by a sunset BBQ on the beach. We'll be gathering at China Cove on the east end of Donner Lake located within Donner Memorial State Park.

As is usual with Dinner Club, everyone brings a dish to contribute to the evening and here is what we have so far:

Appetizers:
Robyn: Something shrimp-tastic
Danny: Ceviche

Mains:
Michelle: Grilled Sausage Sandos & Salad-on-a-Stick
Christine: Herbed Corn

Desserts:
Chris & Taude: A Delightful Lemon Cake
Melinda & Wayne: Assorted fruits draped in chocolate and coconut

We have arranged paddleboard rentals through Tahoe Paddleboard and are looking forward to introducing more folks to the sport.

It's promising to be a grand night on the lake so stayed tuned for a recap and pics.

Gavin says "yes, please!"...

to some Cheerios.

Happy 1st Birthday to the little guy! He's had a big first year!

I pulled into Nashville, Tennesee...

Well, I browsed into Nashville. I was doing some MLS research for my job and landed in Nashville. Thinking it would fit the dozens of other southern cities I've visited, I wasn't too excited about logging data. That is until I discovered a little cove of spectacularly remodeled/rehabbed homes. If you are in Nashville and in the market, check out these beauties.

We're all a little tired from the weekend...

Started out Friday with racing to Tannanbaum Event Center on Mt. Rose for Kelly & Chris' wedding (pics to come)

Then Saturday was all about beaching and beer...we flopped in Kings Beach for awhile before heading to Tour de Fat at the Truckee Regional Park to witness all the Fat Tire festivities.

Sunday was for paddleboarding...out of bed at 5:00am, at C's at 6:30am. and 10 of us heading to Sand Harbor at 7:30am. It was an marathon paddle as we made our way from Sand Harbor to Kings Beach with a couple boards swap and snack breaks in between. I can't wait to do it again!

For those late night snacks...

Eat all the crackers in bed you that you want 'cause this little beauty will keep all those nasty little crumbs out!
When you're done snacking, pretend you're a little monkey, jump on the bed and then tuck yourself back in. Believe me, your Dustbuster will welcome the break.

Blood IS The New Black

Now, don't go getting all excited thinking this is going to be a post about the latest Steven Segal/Jet Li collaboration. While that would be awesome the truth is even awesomer!

Blood Is The New Black is an online store featuring artists spreading their craft by crafting wearable art...and with a sense of humor. And anyone that really knows me, knows I am a sucker for a good play on words and cheesy jokes. The first shirt will soon occupy drawer space at my house.
